UPDATE as of 01/01/2011: I originally had intended to start this podcast in the fall. You can tell by the updates why I didn’t start the podcast in the fall. My hope was to start the podcast just after the new year. Unfortunately, that doesn’t look like it will happen. I have all the equipment, I have the music, I’ve started to put together imaging for the podcast, but I’m still battling some health issues — particularly with my respiratory system. I can talk, but not for very long, and listening to my voice isn’t very pleasing at the moment.

I am on the mend, however, but it is taking much longer than I had originally anticipated. Hopefully, by the spring I’ll be feeling better.

I STILL INTEND to put this podcast together. Having been a ham for nearly nine years, I’m still learning a lot and enjoying every minute of it. I want to be able to allow the ham community to use what I’ve learned for THEIR benefit.

Please stay posted. Updates will surely follow.

UPDATE as of 11/27/2010: The purchase of the house we were looking at fell through. Honestly, it’s probably a blessing in disguise. The family and I are bummed, but we know that God has bigger and better things for us.

As for the podcast: I plan to start that immediately after Christmas and New Years. The first podcast should be produced and released on the weekend of January 8th, 2010. That’s certainly a tentative goal. I’ll certainly keep you posted as we draw closer to the first of the year.

As of right now, I plan on releasing the podcast on a bi-weekly basis. So far, I have enough material to get me through one year, with more ideas cropping up on a weekly basis. As the podcast progresses, I’m sure more ideas and show topics will spring up.

Stay tuned, and check back often for the latest on the podcast!

UPDATE as of 10/02/2010: The podcast may be pushed back to the winter months as I am in the processing of buying a new house.  Depending upon the timing of the closing, the repairs that may need to be made to the home, and provided everything goes smoothly, the podcast should be launched by the first of the year.  If things don’t go as planned, the podcast may still launch in the fall.

Being a former broadcaster, I really miss being behind the microphone and doing voiceover work and production.  My podcast, which will remain nameless for the time being, should launch sometime in the fall, if not sooner.

I hope the podcast I produce will be of value to every ham … especially for the “average ham.”  What is an “average ham?”  You’ll find out in the first podcast!  Check back often!
